About Me Casual Driver
Comments about Handicap Placard Hanger:
I was very disapointed it didn't last a month, however it came in a two pk. But I misplaced the other so I am back to using the original one that was issued to me.
My friend seen mine and wants one.

The new handicap car tags are so flimsy and they told me at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles that the new tags will melt if left in the sun or heat of a vehicle. The new handicap car tags will curl if not in one of these covers and the covers are very sturdy and at the same time light weight. My friend seen mine and now I am ordering one for her.
Sturdy and easy to use!

Makes putting on and taking off the handicap placard so easy to do. You don't have to worry about tearing the handicap placard.
Cheap, but still a waste of money

I thought this was a great idea and ordered three. I have used two of the three placard hangers I received. I rated the product one star only because zero was not an option. The first, I found on my dash at the end of the day the first time I used it in my car. The hook had softened in the heat and is bent so that it is no longer usable. Fortunately my employer knows my car and did not ticket me for not displaying my parking permit. We have had excessive heat here, but nothing on the packaging cautioned against use in extreme heat. The second is used occasionally in my parents' car for their handicapped placard. It has NOT been exposed to extreme conditions. Yesterday I picked it up to hang it and the hook portion snapped off in my hand.I won't bother trying the third.

Not durable at all..

I only started using this product in April 2010, and the hanger part that actually goes around your rear view mirror cracked. I have taped it, but it's not the same. I purchased this to insure the actual placard would not crack as my last one. I was disappointed with this product having it crack after only using it for such a short time.

Good Buy for Purpose

Handicap Placards tend to break fairly easily, especially if "overused", not put above visor when driving. They are intended only for parking useage. This item makes the placard BIG and urges the driver to stow the placard when not in use. Thus, both the holder and the placard last longer, become used properly.
