I WAS AT A FAMILY REUNION A FEW YEARS AGO, & HAD SOME POISON IVY, OAK OR SUMAC ALLERGY BROKE OUT ON MY LEG, WHEN A COUSIN ASK WHAT IT WAS, & WHEN I TOLD HER, SHE SAID SHE USED LYE SOAP BY SHREDDING A LITTLE & MAKING A PASTE WITH IT & WATER TO PUT ON IT WHEN SHE HAD AN ALLERGY TO THOSE THINGS, & IT DRIED IT RIGHT UP. SO WHEN I SAW THE LYE SOAP IN THE CATALOG, I ORDERED IT, BECAUSE I PULL WEEDS EVERY YEAR, & DON'T PAY ENOUGH ATTENTION, & INVARIABLY GET TOO CLOSE TO THE POISON IVY, OAK, OR SUMAC.
This is great, reminds me of my youth

If you contact insects or things that make you itch, just wash with this soap and it will stop. I would tell anyone to use this.
